Former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, has asserted that the ongoing conflict between the suspended governor of the state, Siminalayi Fubara, and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, revolves around the sharing of money.
Amaechi made this claim in an interview with DW on Saturday, questioning why Nigerians have not demanded transparency from both parties.
He also criticized the emergency intervention in Rivers State by President Bola Tinubu, describing it as unconstitutional.
“The fight between the current governor of Rivers State and the FCT minister is about sharing money. If not, what is the quarrel about? Nigerians don’t seem to care about corruption anymore. I’ve not seen anyone questioning what the real issue is. Can both of them address the public and explain the problem?” Amaechi stated.
